# New: free, self-paced Kanoa MES training (Kanoa Ops course is live)

Hi everyone,

We’ve added a training section to the Kanoa documentation, and the first course, Kanoa Ops, is live: [Training | Kanoa Docs](https://docs.kanoa.ai/training/)

It’s free and self-paced. You build a working implementation for CoreForge, a fictional plant, alongside the software: assets and items, rates, modes and states, scheduling, an ERP simulator exchange through Ignition, dashboards, roles, scripting, Measures, and operator effectiveness. The course currently has 41 lessons, including knowledge checks that support preparation for the Kanoa Ops certification exam.

A few things that may be useful if you already work with Kanoa MES:

- Many exercises include a check script you run in the Ignition Designer Script Console. It tells you what passed, what didn’t, and why.
- Downloadable simulator tags and an ERP simulator project let you practice equipment connectivity and integration without live machinery or a customer’s ERP.
- The optional Docker template spins up a training gateway with the Kanoa MES modules and database for development and training use.
- It’s also a handy shared starting point for new colleagues joining your team.

If you get stuck or find something that’s wrong or unclear, use the Get Help button on the training page itself. It opens a ticket for the specific page and topic you’re on.
